The grooved back prevents any rotation of the bolt after installation, and the round un-slotted head does not allow the bolt to be loosened with a screw driver or wrench.
TUFNUT Instructions:
1. A Tufnut is threaded onto a bolt, finger-tight
2. A second nut is installed upside-down
3. A wrench is inserted between the two nuts to tighten
4. Once fastened, the second nut is removed
Use the same procedure (reversed) to remove nuts for maintenance
